Blu-ray +UV? What's that about?

I see Blu-ray being sold as BD+UV?  Anyone know what that's about?

Ultraviolet digital copy - an online version of your film.
 
Not sure how popular it is or will be - no doubt it (or similar) will replace Blu-ray at some point.
