Iv,e bitten the bullet and made a start, problems already.
I connected the camcorder, to the computer, turned the camcorder on and on the Pc screen got message windows detected device loading software etc..
If i turn the camcorder on and look in "my computer i see am image of a little camcorder with "panasonic dv camcorder".
However when i click on "video capture" MSP V6 i get,
"video capture is unable to access the capture device"
Make sure that the capture driver has been installed and is not being used by another programme,if you choose to continue you can only play back existing video files,
Have i missed something out already?
What am i not doing right?
texas instrument ohci compliant firewire card, panasonic nvdx110 camera, athlon system c, and d, drives, windows me.
Regards all.
I am not sure but, if this is applicable to DV cameras and firewire.
Install Media Studio first , then your capture drivers.
Stuart
Make sure you select in MSPro 6 - Video Capture - Setup
MS DV Camera & VCR (MS 1394)
Device control MS 1394 Device Control
Ulead Direct Show Capture Plug-In
You may need to close Video capture & restart the programme.
If you are still having problems press play on the cam, then record on Video capture.
I had a similar problem with a mates MSP6 & Windows ME (Sony cam) recently & this kicked things into gear.
Have you installed DirectX 8.0a & DX8 Video Capture Update
