Cheap place to buy Hard Drive, also advice ?

Can anyone advise me where I can buy an internal hard drive for my G4 duel 800 machine, cheap with good back up?

This is for video editing, at the moment I am using the system drive, although it is 80 gig, I have been advised (by Mr Farrents) that this isn't wise.

I have been advised to get an IBM Desk Star 60 gig, but I have just being reading on the 'Hard drives & controllers' forum about the Maxtor Diamond Max 60 and the IBM 60 GXP.
Do these drives still work in my G4 or are they PC only ?

Thanks guys. (OSX & I-movie 2)

They will work fine in your G4.

I bought a Western Digital 7200rpm 80GB drive for £137+VAT+delivery last year from Komplett and it works a treat in my G4.

Now, I would go for this 100GB drive at £180++ and I'm sure that would be good too.

I have also used komplett on three occasions recently and apart from great prices the serv ice is amazing. If the website shows it in stock and you place an order (let's say before about 3pm), once your card is authorised they generally despatch to DHL the same afternoon. I've tracked the packages online and seen a 4pm despatch and it's arrived next morning at 9.30...three times running! Carriage is under £4 for each of the drives I've bought..

Most drive manufacturers give a 3 or 5 year guarantee. If you have a problem, you run a diagnostic app (downloaded from their web site) and this generates a return authorisation code. The only snag is these seem to be all PC only!
In practice, drives are very reliable and you'll be very unlucky to lose one.
If you want the very best price you'll need to be prepared to trawl the web sites because they vary day to day and model by model due partly to natural competition.
