Hi Folks,
I have a couple of the above which I got ages ago with my Media Studio Pro 6.0.
I recently tried to get some more but the producers, "Crystal Graphics" have discontinued this product.
Does anybody have any more?
(I have the "Earth" and the "Slab")
Regards.

Think I may have a Crystal Vortex CD of transitions in the loft and also the Crystal Vortex Flying Fonts program.

From memory these date back to around 1996/7 when I bought them to use with a FAST AV Master.

Do you have an interest in them?

Hi Ford Prefect:
I have a couple of their cds which I used often, and thought they were very good. These were for making animated titles, and since upgrading to XP pro they have not been put back on the system. I am not sure if these programs can be used with XP, if not I am sure that the company produce programes that will work with XP. Try their home page on: http://www.crystalgraphics.com/videos/3dvortex.main.asp I am sure you will find all the information that you require there.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the info and the link but that's where I started from.
I found that none of the "purchase" links work and so I contacted support who told me they had discontinued the products.
Hence my post on this board.
Regards.

Nigel,
I'd be interested if you find the CD in your loft.
I'll send you an e-mail with my address.

OK so you have tried the url that I attached. Have you tried an email to their offices?
The form for emails can be filled in at the following url: http://www.crystalgraphics.com/contact.asp
They can only say that they no longer sell that which you are looking for. Why not email them with your requests.

Michael,
Thanks for your continued interest but I had already contacted Crystal Graphics by e-mail as I said in an earlier post and it was they who told me the product was discontinued.
They also told me, which I already knew, that they now concentrate on plug-ins for PowerPoint (PowerPlugs).
Regards.

Found it! It’s Crystal 3D Vortex Volume 1, complete with quick-start mini-manual. It says it’s for Premiere 4.2 or higher or MS Pro 2.5 or higher.

I tried it in Premiere 6 on a dual P3 800MHz machine running Win2k and it loaded fine – it puts the required files in the plug-in directory and appears in Premiere as a 3rd party transition. It took about a minute to render a second’s worth of transition.

There are a total of 26 different transitions (including variations on a theme) such as morphing sphere, orbit, various splits, turns, slabs and rolls. No previews (except by pressing alt and scrubbing) and precious little customisation. Makes you realise how spoilt we are these days.

If you should want this send me £15 to include P&P and it’s yours. Contact me by email as in my profile.

Nothing received yet. May have been lost due to my anti-spam measures, but unlikely. Could you please re-send, checking the address?

Thanks

Nigel,
Received your e-mail and replied.
Same address as before.
Didn't get any rejects or postmaster failures.
Is your firewall e-mail proof?
