help - why is it doing this!!!

OK, this is driving me nuts and I just cannot see how to stop it.

I'm just putting in a new editing system, all quite straightforward, running XP and Prem Pro 2. No dedicated editing card. Everything is working fine and dandy.

But.... If I take a file from my old system - a storm based suite - and copy it across to the new PC then the word 'CANOPUS' appears continually in the top left of the picture. This happens in both Prem Pro and Windows Media Player. Otherwise the file plays fine. I just can't find out why this is happening or how to turn it off!

Please someone tell me!

1. you used canopus dv codec to create the dv file.
2. get hold of canopus file converter ....... and change them to msdv or find a 4cc codec program that will allow you to alter the codec info embedded in the avi file.

if you don't have it , can't find it i can send it to you , approx 1.5MB
