Not sure the Classifieds is the right place for this but here goes.
We are hosting a conference looking into the possibilities of Local TV being run via a social enterprise / educational framework via the internet as opposed to a commercial ventures that begin broadcasting soon.

Do you have any more details of the programme / speakers?
Could you explain a bit more about the intended scope of discussion? How does the idea of "local TV" fit into webstreams? Webstreaming has been around for a very long time now, I've personally been experimenting with live web streams since the days of realplayer. I'm not sure I understand the juxtaposition of local DTV channels and webstreams, they seem quite disparate to me.
Are you streaming the event? Plymouth is not a very convenient location to get to.

Yes we are streaming the event and it will be produced in a TV style format as opposed to conference talk - we hope. Some of us feel that the OFCOM model is 20 year too late and that current audiences are logging on more than tuning in. So we are looking at ways in which local businesses can work with education providers and charities in order to produce content that can either be streamed live or accessed online. There's a lot of interesting things happening within local communities that never get a mention on the main stream channels. We're hoping to start a project within Plymouth University via the Student's Union that will use a similar structure of local radio. On the day there will be live music and performance as well as debate and discuss.
