This looks like an interesting development. A Super 16mm sized sensor could make lens choices rather limited. Watching some demo videos rainbow moire is visible even on these web video shots. http://vimeopro.com/johnbrawleytests/blackmagic-cinema-camera/video/40290704

Richard Payne is at NAB and is chasing footage from it. I have big doubts about the performance of a sensor of only 2.5k width, but, we'll see.
