My philips 890 purchased from shopathills.co .uk has started giving me errors wont play discs that have been recorded on it, some times they play after 3 or 4 attemps could anyone advise me as I would like to send it back and get a full refund or exchange it for a better model.
it also seems to get very hot at times.
I have read that u have to leave them for a couple of hours to cool down surley that can not be right
Could someone advise me of my rights I have only had it about 5 to 6 months.

Just make sure that whatever you buy from them is new
I purchased a Plasma tv from them a while back -- and was shocked to find it was second hand, and was assured it was new
IT WAS'NT
I got my money refunded... but they Left a very sour taste, and I will never use them again
Other people have had problems. Look up the postings on DVD.
