Hello,

I'm working on a project at the moment and my system has started running very slowly due to I suspect a lack of disk space (I'm down to 20% free).

Going through the C Drive there are A LOT of rendered files looking like: Rendered -48d4bcac-31ae-4a35-9659-5f69063a180e.avi all attributed to one project.

I imagine these are the renders that I have made going along. I was wondering whether I can safely delete these and it not effect the project file in Premiere in any way, shape or form?

Thank You

a long time since i used a PC or Prem but you could maybe trash them but don't empty the bin.

I think that any problem would show itself, and if there is an issue an 'undelete" can be performed.

the space is still used up when a file is in the bin.

alternatively, copy the entire folder to a spare drive.

Reading this: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1088395?tstart=0

There seems to be an option within PP, Sequence Menu, to delete the render files, however I'm not sure whether this will dump the files to the recycle bin or just wipe them.

IF I were to delete the render files assosiated with the project, and it were to cause a problem with transitions etc etc, could I not just re-render?

Yes, trash them. You could just re-render.

Better practice is to place the render files on a separate drive from your system drive. You can do this in preferences. You should also have your scratch drive on a separate drive from the system drive. Also changeable in preferences.
