Is it not possible to see who's on line? I found it very useful when asking a question to know if the member most likely to know the answer is there.

Re: Who's On Line?

This is a permissions issue - currently I don't have permissions to set permissions so i can't fix it. hopefully Martin will allow me permissions to do these things soon.

Yes it is if you look at the dot on the left underneath the name tag it shows red or green, but I suppose you mean a list a the bottom but that may not have been acurate as it may have just shown people that have left their system logged in.

That may not be possible as that is how the hackers can get to work when people leave their systems logged in but inactive.

Re: Who's On Line?

there isn't really a technical solution to tell you if someone is logged in but not paying attention. vBulletin certainly doesn't have that feature!

A list at the bottom of the forum front page is possible. ...

Re: Who's On Line?
Who's online block added to sidebar. At the moment this displays on every page which is possibly overkill? Would people prefer to have it on every page or just the home page or some other combination of pages?

there is obviously a trade off between having this kind of info displayed and the length of pages (and indeed load times) - personally i'd probably have 'who's online' on the front page only. But i'll take input from everyone on this as it's not a function that I really use much.

General info like that should be on juust the Home page, in my opini9on. I'd rather have the available screen area dedcated to postings in the thread.

Get my test cards document, and cards for 625, 525, 720 and 1080. Thanks to Gavin Gration for hosting them.
Camera settings documents are held by Daniel Browning and at the EBU
My book, 'Circles of Confusion' is available here.
Also EBU Tech.3335 tells how to test cameras, and R.118 tells how to use the results.
