I use a mono tie clip mic with a minidisk recorder. It`s not very sensitive, and has a frequency response of 100hz – 16khz.
I want to use it for concerts, and general use.
I have tried an AT25. although it`s bass rolls of at 80hz, and the treble was bright it sounded ok. But. It was too long to mount on the camera without it poking me in the eye.
I have tried building a stereo mic using inserts from Maplin, and the web has some interesting reading. It works, and a choice of capacitor regulates the bass. I can also make it small. But I cannot get a nice bright treble and a natural sounding bass.
I have seen a Sony ECM-MSD1 advertised, I can find the size and colour but cannot find the frequency range. Can anyone help please.
Thank`s
John Disdle
