Can anyone give me advice as to which audio speakers I should buy for editing on my twin processor G4.
All I have at the moment is that tiny 1 inch thing that is built into the front of the G4 tower (hardly any good for monitoring audio levels in NLE).
I like the look of those Harman Kardan mini-sticks (I believe they come with a thing called an I-sub to give the bass). At £115 plus VAT are they any good or suitable for my needs. I can't find a store locally to me that keeps them in stock for a demo, so If you guys say they are good, I will mail order fron the Apple Store.
Are there any other makes that are better.
"What do you use Dave (Fox Video)" ?
I use Bose Media Mates, they have a very good freq response, with 2 inputs and headphone socket, they were expensive at around £250 and I dont think I would buy them again.
The best I ever found were a pair of 'Creative' game speakers at around £50, but they stopped making that particular model and I cound never find anything else to match.
Have no knowledge of the Kardan mini sticks, but I have been told they are very good.
You might be able to get John Willett to respond, He's your man for sound.

Got the Harman Kardan Mini sticks with i-tube today after hearing them at PC world in Cambridge. Had to get them to price match £149 as they sell them for £199.
These speakers are superb, as a keen hi-fi nut that is use to listening to £2000 Quad active electorstatic speakers via Naim amps and a Mission DAD CD player I can vouch for these Harmans and highly recomend them.
Only reservation was it had 'made in China' on the box, dosn't seem to affect the great sound though.
