A new Advanced Audio Spectrum Editor
Looks good, if the vimeo tutorials are to be believed
When I watched the Moon sequence for the first time, I really thought they were going to going to try and replace the famous missing 'g' from 'giant'.
That was caused by the actual physics of 'vox' switching - and is a notoriously difficult problem to overcome.
But they didn't even attempt to do that. They cleaned up the noise a bit, but left the 'missing' section of the 'g' word.
Makes the whole excercise a bit like re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.....
And I'll bet they chose that siren very carefully. Any louder and it's removal would have left horrible artifacts.
Any quieter, and who cares if it's there or not?
I'm sure it's very good (it needs to be for that price!) but I don't see any any holy grail here. Most decent audio editors would probably deal with most of these kind of problems almost as well. And there is always the 'silk purse, sows ear' aspect to audio repairs.
Unless I've missed something?........
