Hi
I've always used in earlier versions of Premiere, the excellent Final FX plug-in that created snow falling fx.
However, it does not appear to work in Premiere 6.5
I purchased the Boris RED 2.5 earlier this year (2003) but have yet to use it as its too complicated, even the manual is a minefield!!!!! I believe its possible to achieve snow falling filter effect in Boris but I can't find it?? Also, it looks too complicated.
Does anyone know a) an easier way for snow falling fx or b) how can I get Final FX to work?
Thank you
and Happy new year!
One way would be to create a multi-snowflake image (eg lots of small white blobs with no background) in PhotoShop at a much bigger size than the video.
Then put several copies of this one on top of the other in PPro and use Motion to move them in slightly different directions to create a blizzard look. The alpha channel should be automatically recognised so you can see through to the underlying track(s).
