DV-500 with AMD K6

I have an AMD K6-III 450 on a Tyan motherboard running fine with a DV500.

From what I've seen of postings no firwwire cards are immune from bugs/settings.
DV500's should be better than cheap OHCI cards for many reasons, but if you are one of the unlucky x% (they exist, even hardened journalists - see Comp Shopper) go directly to the Pinnacle webboard (do not collect £200 etc etc). There are a lot of people who will help, particularly if you profile your system in detail (h/w & s/w). Most, actually all of them, are Joe (Mr nice guy) Public.
