DVDlab chapter problems

Hi,

I just made my first motion menu with DVDlab and everything worked fine but one thing!
After I compiled and burned the DVD there weren't any chapters... I splitted the concert into 18 songs and when I choose one special song in the menu, the concert starts from the beginning, so the VOB-file wasn't split up although I did it during the process of creating the menu. Seems that there has been a failure with the compiling...

Did anyone have the same problem yet?

thx, Nicolai

Hi Nikolai,
I am quite new to DVD Lab though so far i have been totally impressed and it has done all i asked of it.
Do you still have the project saved in DVD Lab?
If so, you can check all the links from the menu screen. It won't play them but it will take you to each part.
Failing that i would go in and delete all links and then set up each individual link again from the drop down list. Right click the mouse, select the make link and from the drop down menu select the timecode where the link should start.
I will be very surprised if that doesn't work.
Good luck,
Mike

I had some chapter probs with DVDlab. After much pain I discovered that the video file needed to have the GOP timecode re-written. I think it's in the tools menu (sorry, not currently at my editing machine). A freeware program called restream will also do it. Once I did this my chapter problems were gone.
Best to test a compiled DVD files with a software player too, rather than burn and discover there is a problem.
