Has anyone heard from Geecee
He hasn't posted for quite a few weeks now, which is most unlike him.
To date, I have sent him two e-mails but have had no reply.

Hi Everyone
I've had a few PM's enquiring about Geecee recently and managed to find his phone number last week, I rang his wife and he has been in intensive care, then a high dependency ward, I asked his wife to pass the best wishes of the forum onto him.
After Fergies post today I was prompted to ring his wife again, unfortunately it's very bad news as Geoff has passed away, his wife said he was well looked after in hospital and didn't suffer.
He will be missed by many of us as he was a great sport
God Bless
John :(
Words fail me.
....................I just don't know what to say other than I am very very saddened at this news
................................................. May God bless you Geoff.
.
I didn't know Geoff other then through this board but I feel a real sense of loss! Our thoughts are with his family.
Gods speed.
.....Neil
That's really sad news, like one of the family has died.
John, thanks for taking the trouble to find out about him.
I am so saddened by the news about Geecee.
We'll all miss him, his humour, his sense of fairness and his common decency that came through in his posts.
Ian
Oh dear, we'll all miss him. He's made some great contributions here, livened us up no end. Thanks John for tracing him.
Sad news indeed. Condolances to his wife. This forum really does have a sense of community about it and Geoff will certainly be missed as a member of the dvdoctor community.
Geoff's wit and intellect will be sorely missed in the 'Chatter' section. I feel very sad tonight. Tony C.
Hi all
This has been a lump in the throat and a tear in the eye day.
I want to share these lyrics of one of my favouite song, if anyone thinks they are inappropriate, I'll remove them
“Do Not Stand at my Grave and Weep”
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.
Sorry for being so sentimental, We won't forget you Geecee
John
I may not post much on the forums but I do read them every day and will miss Geoff's humour.
My condolences to all his family and friends.
It's a real shock to hear about Geecee. He was always there to settle a thread down that was getting a bit out of hand. His humour will be very much missed.
Mike
Can't add any more words to what has already been said. A little bit less laughter in life.
Harry
I've had many a run in with Geecees sharp wit and enjoyed every one.
I'm so, so sorry to hear of his pissing away. Sorry Geecee, couldn't resist!
Sadly missed.
Don't think I ever exchanged a word with him on the forum, but it is very sad news indeed.
Geecee made history when he contributed to this forum. I only knew him through the forum like many others, but as long as his contributions are kept and used by others then his memory lives on.
Rest In Peace
That's very sad news. I enjoyed him being on this forum. I feel a little bit guilty that I stole the prize off him earlier on after many months of squabbling. If only I'd known.... Top bloke, sadly missed.
It's all been so eloquently said that to add anything is difficult.
God bless you Geoff, rest in peace.
John (another Oxfordshire man)
Can someone make sure that his family hears about this thread? I suspect they have little or no idea of his antics here, and it might help for them to know how much he'll be missed.
Hi Alan
I intend to print this thread off and send it to his wife with a covering note (After a suitable time).
His wife knew of his time on the forum but didn't know any details, I've told her how much he was missed before he passed away and asked her to give a him a get well message from the forum then.
I've also offered our condolances yesterday, again saying how much we will miss him.
Mr's Geecee said Geoff was working in the garden 6 weeks ago and seemed to be OK, his wit was also on top form in his Chatter posts at the end of August.
I don't even know if Geoff's funeral has been yet, he was still alive a week last Sunday morning.
Please bear in mind this was done on my own bat, finding out Geoff's personal details from private emails so I could get a phone number to ring and enquire in the first place, Mr's Geecee was understanding when I explained my motives, however she may have still thought it was slightly intrusive.
Best Wishes
John
Thanks John, I know you'll do the right thing, they need to know.
I only knew Geecee through this forum, but please include my condolences.

Although we never directly crossed threads, I was sad to hear this news. My condolences to Geecee's family.
Seven point three plus thousand posts here. Many many hours here.
Mostly in Chatter, but hey that's fine...
Greatly missed.
He showed that you don't have to be miserable when you get old.

I cannot claim to have met Geecee but did share postings in a few threads. This "community" is enhanced by the qualities of its' membership, and Geecee was a shining example having a gentle wit and a sense of fair play. Geecee will be sadly missed.
I knew him solely through this forum, but very sorry to hear the news. My condolences.
We had a few exchanges and he always had a sense of humour. He managed to see the funny side of having squirels in the loft when I couldn't!
Condolences to his family.

really Sad :(
Dear John,
I was shocked to read the sad news,
Please add our heart felt condolences...
Geecee will be sadly missed.
Kind Regards.
Hi Stuart
Great to hear from you after this long time, I was going to post the pages of this thread to his wife today, I will reprint the last page to add your post now.
Thanks for posting
Regards
John
Hi everyone
I received a ruined letter envelope from the Royal Mail today, it contained within the reply from Geoff's wife to this forum message, written on a card, sadly now in 4 pieces :(
The card said:
Thank you for sending the print out from the DV Doctor forum. I know he greatly enjoyed the chats!
I'm computer illiterate but Tom our grandson is teaching me! As Geoff would say 'to get into the 21st Century'.
The family use it for their work but often exchanged emails with Geoff. My sister Pat, who is retired says she got interested through Geoff and has bought a computer and will miss Geoff for this reason.
Thank you for all your sympathy
Fran
All the best Fran if you read this, Geoff was a good sport and a good laugh, as you know, we miss him.
John
John, Thanks for all your efforts to contact Geecee's widow to convey all our feelings. I expect that he is still raising his eyebrows to demonstrate his scorn on some of our replies. Tony C.:rolleyes: :)
Sadly missed by all of us.
