Guys, Looking for reasonable prices for full size DVCAM tapes(Don;t really need tapes with chip). Did a quick search but didn't come up with anything obvious.

Any good suppliers out there?

John.

Try, www.aprmedia.com not to sure if www.pricebuster.org.uk or www.7dayshop.co.uk sell them.

7dayshop use snail mail but i think the charge is only 95p the other two charge about £6 to £7 per order

Have used apr and pricebuster for a while now no complaints.

not to mention
www.protape.co.uk

Same day service in inner London, next day service elsewhere, very nice people, good prices (and they sell real Amray DVD cases, not the cheap, flimsy, sh*te).

This thread looks like a good candidate for moving the the FAQ section, Bob?

To accompany the "UK inkjet suppliers" and "UK Price comparison" FAQs?

Feltec http://www.feltech.co.uk/ sell them, they have been good to me. I don't use DVCAM so I don't know how their prices compare.

Another vote for ProTape here. IMHO they can't be beaten on price, make sure you always phone your order through and ask 'is that your best price ?'. That way they usually knock a bit more off...

...or if you don't mind second hand tapes then check out eBay. I got 15 'used once then blanked' 64min DVCAM tapes for £50 !. Also 20 184min DVCAM's for £205, saved myself around £400...
