I tried without success to write still images to tape (to my Sony Camcorder).
I'm using Adobe Premiere 6 and Pinnacle DV200.
I need to write several pictures (.jpg) to tape.
Would very much appreciate your helping me.
thank you

Import them into a bin File>Import>file, select file click open. Then place them onto the timeline as normal. Stretch them out for the desired time. Jobs a good un!

Hope this helps

i imported a folder. Placed it's contents (6 pics) to the timeline. Stretched the timeline for the desired length.
Then!
I clicked on 'File'-->'Export Timeline'-->Tried to click on 'Export To Tape' but it was not clickable.
What to do ? -
Thank you very much

Make sure you are in Pinnacle editing mode and that there is an Instant Video palette window on the Premiere desktop. The just play off the timeline out to your camera.

Yopu need to activate device control in Premiere's preferences before export to tape will work, but as I suggest, that isn't essential to get the timeline onto tape.

I have had this problem using my new DV200 and a Sony Handycam.
I found that when you start up premiere and the 'choose your desired format' screen comes up you have to choose the DV200 PAL settings from the pinnacle folder.
I was just cancelling that box and opening the project that I was working on. The problem with this it seems is that the link to the camcorder is not there and so the export back to tape will not work.

If this doesn't work try saving your project of stills as a seperate avi file and starting a new project. Drop the new avi file onto the timeline and have a go at exporting to tape from there.

Best of luck,

thank you very much David. It works now.
However! the first pic is always shaky when i play back the tape on my camera. If i make that very pic the second or third it wouldn't display shaky anymore.
Wondering why is the first pic always shaky when played on my cam?
Thank you very much

Are you recording a 10 second black section before you start?

This is a useful thing to do as it allows the camera to come up to speed and settle.

Hope this helps.
