Our local ALDI is selling 160 Gb Samsung 7200 rpm HDs for £69 which would give a good 10 hours storage. Has anyone any comments about them, good or bad?
Thanks, David

Dear David,
If its the 'spinpoint' series, (im assuming it is), then they are very good drives, i have had x2 in raid '0' and two as seperate boot drives in different machines, found them to be quiet and reliable.

Kind Regards.

Yep .... all samsung have outlived the ibm / fujitsu drives we bought at work.
still have an early samsung 1.3gb working in a p3-450 pc at home.
