Seen any reviews of Panasonic GS70?

Hi, I heard that Panasonic were releasing a "budget" 3CCD camera (retail price around £750), but I haven't read anything about it in CV or any other magazines, strange since it was scheduled for release in May.

There seems to be very little press about what appears to me to be a big price breakthrough in 3CCD DV cameras.

Anyone know anything about its performance?

Best wishes,
Mel

Hi
I have the GS 70 and in my opinion it is a fantastic machine, picture quality is as good as a Canom XM 1, the camera sits neatly in the hand, the controls are easily accessed, no fiddely menu's like some other models have, still pictures to the SD card are very good, clear and sharp, PC connectabilty is very good, firewire, USB, or use the SD card in a reader, Panasonic have hit the jackpot with this one, only bad comment I could make is the LCD screen if you look at it from an angle the screen goes negative, but if you tilt it the picture is fine.
I have only had it a week so as I get more practice with it I will post.

Sounds good, Thanks Steve.

What is it made of? I really like one of its predecessors, the Panasonic NVDX110, which has an aluminium body...it just felt nice

And how much did you pay for your and where did you get it from?

Be good to find the best price for it.

Is the image stabiliser optical or electronic?

And how effective is it?

Hi

Stabiliser is electronic and is fine, but I tend to avoid them if I can and use a good tripod.
