Does anyone know how to get the very subtle soft black
vignette effect in premier 6.5 to give it a sort of film look.

Sorry - I don't understand the question.

Presumably your source is colour and output is to be colour - but ???
Is it the whole picture area that is to have this affect or the edges of objects within it - or shadows??
Are we talking reduced brightness/contrast??
By soft - do you mean slightly out of focus - no hard edges??

If I understand the effect you would like , try a gradient (the pixelan type )and make the colour either black or dark grey. Set the gradient into soft and then experiment !.

Sorry my question wasnt well put, but I think John answered
it anyway!! Although to be honest the effect is more something I wanted to create through premiere rather rhan use a real filter (if you know what I mean)
Anyway I'm rambling. And besides I found the answer in a previous post. thanks John.
