I have been trying to get onto the Computer Video website to post some questions for some months now but, no luck. www.computervideo.net

So, could you (and your team?) help?

I am a prolific video maker, Stories(Comedies), Documentaries, 2D Animation. Produce music via Sequencer/Synth, love experimenting with special effects (Audio & Visual)

Have been using, Sony 6000 & 705 cams, Panasonic MX12, & SVHS VCR, Amiga 1200 using DPaint 4 for Animation, Bars & Pipes Sequencer. plus various other software for Titling etc.

I read your Mag regularly, which recommends various systems etc. but I find it difficult to actually pinpoint the "right stuff"

The question.... If you had £5,000 (at a push £6,000)

What NLE system/software/Camera would you recommend. Better still, if you were shopping around with that budget, what would you buy for yourself, to produce similar to my needs?

End quality?? The higher the better but, would at present be happy with end results on VHS/SVHS but able to upgrade to higher later.

I have spoken directly to the highest recommended supplier, DVC in hove but, they do not seem to be really into animation/music and compatible Digital Cams (especially with RT2000) etc.

Not a huge request, I'm just after the most versatile system that will be capable of the above. Can be MAC, Windows or something your Aunt Doris knocks up in the shed.

If you can find the time to answer this and if you have any ideas why I can't access your website I will be a happy reader.

Many thanks

Terry Church
