Heres another quicki for those in the know.
When I Burn to DVD and play in my set top box on the TV the pictures are noticably darker than when i previewed them on the PC why is this and can i do anything to reverse this effect during the editing/burning process?
Cheers all
Stuart
It may be something as simple as you having the brightness of your monitor set up too high.
I have set mine using Photoshops method, distributed with the program. It is also to be found in PaintShop Pro.Then WYSIWYG.
TV Studios use the same method to set up their monitors.
If you need any more info as to method then let me know.
Someone else will post the technical reasons for this, but in practise most computer screens are incorrectly setup and second, the luminence levels for black and white on a PC are 0-255 whereas for TV they are 16-235, so anything that looks correct on a PC will look different on a TV. (Alan or Perry feel free to explain further!)
